We do not use standard synthetic leathers (PU/PVC) nor do we hide behind vague "eco-friendly" claims. The exterior of our bags is crafted from Oleatex, a patented, multi-certified next-generation bio-material engineered by Oleago.
The Input (Upgraded Biomass): The formulation utilizes up to 90% bio-based content derived directly from Mediterranean olive pomace—a solid, non-food bio-residue left over after olive oil pressing. It is a genuine agricultural by-product, not a virgin crop requiring dedicated land or water.
0% Process Water & Solvent-Free Chemistry: Unlike traditional leather tanning or standard synthetic manufacturing, Oleatex is processed with zero water consumption and utilizes a patented, solvent-free binding formulation. No petroleum-based solvents or hazardous chemical thinners are introduced during the chemical synthesis, ensuring toxic-free production environments.
Localized Supply Chain (100 km Radius): To eliminate hidden Scope 3 transportation emissions, the entire raw material value chain—from pomace collection at partner agricultural mills to the homogenized bio-powder conversion—is restricted within a local 100 km radius of production.
The Backing Construction: For complete transparency, the bio-based composite top coating is bonded onto specific textile backings (such as organic cotton or recycled polyester blends) engineered to eliminate structural peeling while maximizing bio-content.
Verified Environmental Metrics: A comprehensive, third-party Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) conducted using the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology verifies that Oleatex generates up to a 6× lower carbon footprint compared to conventional animal leather and virgin fossil-based synthetics.

Circular Interior Architecture: Cupro Lining
The interior of a bag matters just as much as its shell. We actively reject virgin polyester (nylon) linings, which release microplastics throughout their lifecycle. Instead, every beSeSi bag is lined with Cupro fabric.
Zero Virgin Extraction: Cupro is a regenerated cellulose material made exclusively from cotton linters—the ultra-fine, silky fibers that tightly adhere to cotton seeds after ginning. This material is universally discarded as an un-spinnable waste byproduct by the traditional cotton industry.
Strict Closed-Loop Engineering: The transformation of raw linters into Cupro operates within a mathematically managed closed-loop manufacturing system. In this process, virtually 100% of the water, ammonia, and copper solvents utilized are recovered, neutralized, and cycled back into the production loop, preventing toxic chemical discharge into local waterways.
End-of-Life Performance: Because it is entirely plant-derived cellulose, our Cupro lining is inherently biodegradable and compostable, leaving zero synthetic fiber residues behind at the end of the product's lifespan.

100% Raw Cotton Dust Bags: Our protective dust bags are manufactured using pure, unbleached cotton fibers. They contain zero synthetic blends, ensuring they remain fully breathable for item preservation and completely biodegradable.
Recyclable Packaging Systems: We have structurally eliminated single-use plastics, plastic laminations, and synthetic foam inserts from our fulfillment workflow. All shipping boxes and regional transit protections are composed of high-content recycled paperboard and are fully recyclable within municipal sorting systems.
